LOGO CLIMATE VOLUNTEERS 2020

Global climate change, which is one of the biggest environmental problems of our age, threatens all living things on the planet. Our project aims to raise awareness about mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change from global problems. In addition, contribution will be made to the development of 21st century skills such as participation in discussions, taking responsibility, communicating, collaborative work, using digital tools consciously and effectively, cultural understanding and foreign language proficiency.
AIMS
  • Developing the skills of discussion, research, questioning and taking responsibility in global problems.
    • Raise awareness on combating and adapting to climate change.
    • Develop solutions to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of global climate change.
    • Ensuring the conscious and effective use of digital tools and the internet.
    •Developing 21st century skills such as collaborative, sharing, entrepreneurial, productive, social, communicative, cultural understanding and foreign language proficiency etc.
 WORK PROCESS
Introducing of partner schools, teachers and students. Establish communication channels, international working teams.
Identifying the project logo and slogan. Creating a common album by preparing short awareness videos about climate change and its effects in our world.
Creating mind maps, posters and slogans about combating climate change. Discussion in forums on “Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 13)” and “Steps for climate change in our schools”
Preparing a short video on combating climate change (Global warming, Carbon footprint, Water footprint, Renewable Energy, etc.). Preparing the final product with team work and creating web site.  Presenting the project at school by celebrating eTwinning and Climate days.
EXPECTED RESULTS
▪ Awareness of climate change and its impacts on school and environment will be provided.
▪ Solution proposals on mitigation and adaptation of climate change will be discussed and developed.
▪ Students will have the ability to work collaboratively with the awareness of taking responsibility in global problems.
▪ Conscious and positive use of technology will be ensured.
▪ The development of foreign language proficiency and intercultural understanding will be supported.
▪ Work towards the development of 21st century skills will be encouraged.
